At the conclusion of SWIT Residency 2024, we organised a pop-up exhibition and artist talk together with Centrum För Fotografi and Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Stoccolma.
Gloria Pasotti was the artist selected for this year’s edition of SWIT Residency, the very first residency programme focused on photography existing in Gothenburg, Sweden. The artist was offered a studio space at Kronhuset, mentorship sessions by artist and educator Anna Strand, and was also introduced to the local art scene.
On May 17th 2024, we had an artist talk at Konsthantverkscentrum where Gloria presented her practice and discussed the exhibition she produced. During her residency, she has been going through her personal archive with the aim of reorganizing it and selecting the images to identify a narrative. It consisted of unpublished material, images collected over many years with pure diaristic purposes.
